Real Change Starts With Her
The Growth
Project
PROJECT evergreen
Helping women grow
CFW supports women in business by providing the resources, training, and financial tools they need to build sustainable livelihoods. Many women in rural areas depend on small-scale farming to feed their families and earn an income, yet lack access to quality supplies and support. Through Project Evergreen , we provide seeds and fertiliser to local communities, empowering women to grow their own food, create small agricultural enterprises, and become more self-sufficient. These efforts not only strengthen household stability but also contribute to food security and economic growth across The Gambia.
The Dignity
Project
PROJECT BLOSSOM
Sewing hope into the community
Project Blossom restores dignity to women and girls by giving them access to safe, reusable menstrual care and by supporting the local economy. Period poverty remains a major barrier in many communities, where girls are forced to miss school or use unsafe alternatives simply because they cannot access basic supplies. Through this project, local tailors are paid to sew high quality washable pads, creating steady income for families while reducing environmental waste. With a donation of just £1, you can provide a reusable pad that lasts up to three years, helping a girl stay healthy, stay in school and never feel held back because of her period.
The AWARENESS
Project
PROJECT Songbird
GIVING women A VOICE
Project Songbird uses education and awareness to protect the fundamental rights of women and children across The Gambia. Through community outreach, school visits and skills training for organisations such as the police, we shed light on the issues too many girls and women face, including gender based violence, FGM, and child trafficking. Alongside this, we also raise awareness around women’s health, including breast cancer awareness. By equipping communities with knowledge, CFW empowers people to recognise danger, protect victims and stand up for change. This ensures that no woman or girl is left without a voice.
